Jimmy, et al,
As far as I am concerned this guy should not be allowed anywhere near the Foam Rangers' functions. He was a total asshole. I would not presume to paint the NTHBA with the same brush, but I can't help but wonder why we get so little support from them. This is not new. It's been going on for years. This makes the Lone Star Circuit a bit of a joke when one of the major players in the circuit de facto boycotts the second largest contest in the circuit. Normally, I want to play the role of peacemaker, but this is a one-sided relationship. The Inferiority Metroplex gang is reaping all the rewards of our participation in their contest (i.e. entering and attending), but they don't reciprocate with ours. Really? 15 entries from NTHBA. No attendees (I don't count James Dorman - he lives in Houston now and, thus, made no real effort to attend). I honestly think we should make an effort next spring to find something better to do Bluebonnet weekend. Let's schedule a fun event that weekend for our folks. Maybe if we don't enter or show up, they'll notice that something is wrong. I'm not trying to start a war here, but nothing is going to change if we continue to support their contest and they don't support ours. Does this sound petty? I hope not. I just want us to move on. I would rather see us rally the troops to enter and participate in the Inquisition. Austin certainly supports us. They are a fun bunch, and, yet, obviously very serious about brewing. Let's send beers to their contest and go! Who cares if they use funky style guidelines. Let's have fun! Dallas is, well, Dallas. . .

Zero from the Knights of the Brown Bottle? Zero attendees? Why bother? We received more entries from the Texas Carboys. Better to support the Cactus Challenge or the Cerveza Cup.
