Foamies,

The American Society For Microbiology has done  a series of "Microbes After
Hours" events and podcasts recently, and this week the topic was the
Microbiology of Beer, featuring interviews with Charles Bamforth and
Rebecca Newman from Dogfish Head. This goes along with a pretty excellent
booklet they recently produced on the microbiology of beer (Bamforth and
Chris White were on the steering committee). It includes a good discussion
of yeast related off-flavors as well. Some of you might find these
interesting, or useful in roping in some of your scientifically minded
friends into the homebrewing hobby. I'm providing links below:
